Each year, Produce Grower magazine takes the pulse of the industry by reaching out to growers all over North America to see how their operations are faring. This year, we found that the industry is much the same as it was last year, with production areas, revenues and methods remaining generally the same.
But as the market changes, so do operations, so in this year’s report you’ll find some new information on supplemental lighting, e-commerce, OMRI certification and more.
This year, we surveyed nearly 100 produce growers from all over the U.S. and Canada to get the information you’ll find on the following pages. Please note that due to rounding, not all percentages add up to 100.
